Effectiveness and Compliance Monitoring
Post-construction monitoring ensures that expected and desired outcomes of proposed activities are met. It also provides an opportunity to mitigate and enhance compensation measures as determined by their ineffectiveness. As part of our effectiveness and compliance monitoring, Geomorphic Solutions has developed pre-, during and post-construction monitoring plans to satisfy conditions of approval typically included with permits. These include assessments of erosion and sediment control, geomorphology, and aquatic and riparian habitat conditions. Geomorphic Solutions staff is qualified to complete the Ontario Stream Assessment Protocol (OSAP) and has also prepared a Natural Channel Design Monitoring Protocol with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority to establish procedures for systematically monitoring channel conditions.
