Remote Sensing and Imagery Interpretation
Acquiring information within a study area through the use of imagery and its interpretation is the science behind remote sensing. Utilizing different viewing devices and interpretation techniques allows data analyses to be performed in order to learn more about a study area, often without the need to make a physical site visit. Spatial patterns can be derived and further evaluated through the use of GIS.
The Geomatics group has the in-house expertise to subjectively assess remotely sensed and aerial photographed data. Furthermore, we have the technical knowledge to integrate raster and vector datasets in order to provide detailed analyses of a study area.
