Geomorphic Solutions staff have extensive experience studying and modelling sediment transport, this includes the design and execution of field and laboratory experiments as well as application of sediment transport models to practical problems. Our understanding of sediment transport models is built on a strong basis in mathematics and physics, which allows us to critically evaluate the appropriateness of each model by understanding its assumptions and limitations. We have applied our knowledge to numerous fluvial and coastal studies. We have also applied sediment transport models in natural channel designs, erosion threshold assessments, and large-scale geomorphic studies. Additionally, we can compliment evaluations of sediment transport with sedimentological studies to examine historical geomorphic change.
